Repairs are being made to flood damaged road throughout eastern KY
Some people were able to leave their homes in Eastern Kentucky yesterday for the first time since flash flooding left them stranded one week ago.
County road crews have temporarily fixed all damaged roads and bridges in Clay County.
Emergency Management Director David Watson says that they are trying to reach out and of course get State and Federal aid.
Officials say they expect nearly 2 million dollars in future aid.
Officials say there has been a large amount of community help and donations given to aid in the recovery process.
