Another push being made to end Kentucky's death penalty

A Kentucky Democrat is looking to have the death penalty abolished, leaving life in prison without parole as the harshest sentence in the state.

Democratic State Representative Carl Rollins of Midway will be pushing the legislation in the upcoming session. Similar legislation has been introduced in Kentucky over the past 25 years, but has never gathered enough support to pass.

Rollins already has the bill posted and ready to be filed when lawmakers convene on January 8th.
