The Kentucky Department for Public Health and Safety is asking residents to take an online survey
Eastern Kentucky residents are being asked to help the state in its effort to improve the health of Kentucky residents by taking a Kentucky Department for Public Health survey.
Eastern Kentucky residents have until August 1st to go online and take the survey which covers issues such as health priorities in the state. As part of the survey, residents are asked to rank a number of health issues such as diabetes and maternal and child health by importance to the state.
Kentucky currently ranks 50th for smoking and 50th for cancer deaths in the nation. Overall Kentucky ranks 44th among all states in major health categories. Information form the survey will be analyzed and used to dictate how health issues are addressed in the state.
