A Prestonsburg man pleads guilty to manufacturing methamphetamine

As part of a guilty plea agreement, a Floyd County man could serve up to a 20 year prison sentence. Mike Lowe, 42, of Prestonsburg pleaded guilty to two counts of manufacturing meth which is a class b felony. Lowe was arrested in 2012 after police found an active meth lab in the Lancer area of Prestonsburg. William Shell was also arrested in connection with the incident. Shell pleaded guilty earlier this year to one count of manufacturing meth and in turn was given a 10 year sentence. Formal sentencing for Lowe is scheduled for August 8th.
