A delay is expected in the trial of a man accused of shooting an Eastern KY Dr

There is another delay in the case of a man accused of gunning down a Perry County doctor.

WYMT reports 49-year old John Combs has been in jail since December, 2009 when he allegedly killed Doctor Dennis Sandlin at the Leatherwood-Blackey clinic.

The Hazard Herald reports his trial was recently pushed back to July 22nd.

A judge recently overruled requests by the defense to move the trial outside Perry County and exclude the death penalty.
