Power has been restored to Martin County residents

Officials with AEP say power has been restored to nearly 3,000 customers in Martin County. AEP's website showed nearly 3,000 customers without power at around 9:30 a.m on Wednesday. At one point almost 60% of AEP's customers in Martin County were without power. Calf Creek, Coldwater, Rockhouse and Inez were areas that were affected by the outage. Two warming centers were opened during the outage. One of the centers was located at the Martin County Courthouse and one was located at Warfield City Hall. No information has been released concerning what may have caused the outage.
