Magoffin County Arrest Leads to Extradition to New York

A New York man was arrested in Magoffin County early Wednesday morning for multiple traffic violations. In an arrest citation, Matthew McIntosh was dangerously swerving on New Paintsville Road in Salyersville. When pulled over by police, the smell of alcohol was coming from the car. When police asked his name, police report that McIntosh said that his name was Jeremiah. During investigation, police found that McIntosh gave a false identity. It was later found that he was wanted in New York. McIntosh faces several charges including, giving an officer a false name and disorderly conduct. Extradition to New York is currently being worked out.
