Cats hold off Tide on Senior Night at Rupp

Julius Randle finished with 12 points and 11 rebounds as No 25 Kentucky held off Alabama 55-48 on Tuesday. Kentucky used a 15-2 second half run to build a 43-34 lead. Kentucky avoided its first three game losing streak under John Calipari and also clinched the two seed in next week's SEC tournament. With the win, Kentucky improved to 22-8 overall and 12-5 in the SEC. Alabama fell to 12-18 and 6-11 in the SEC. Kentucky will wrap up the regular season on the road at number one Florida on Saturday.

Kentucky holds off LSU in OT

Julius Randle's shot in the lane with :03 left in overtime lifted Kentucky over LSU on Saturday in Rupp Arena. The number 15 Cats defeated the Tigers 77-76. Aaron Harrison led Kentucky with 21 points. James Young added 20 in the win. Anthony Hickey led LSU with 20 points. With the win Kentucky improved to 21-6 overall and 11-3 in the SEC. LSU fell to 16-10 and 7-7 in the SEC.

UK knocks off Ole Miss 84-70

Julius Randle had 25 points and 13 rebounds as Kentucky went on the road and defeated Ole Miss on Tuesday. Aaron Harrison added 17 points as Kentucky improved to 20-6 overall and 10-3 in the SEC. The cats went on a 15-0 run midway through the first half. Jarvis Summers led Ole Miss with 22 points., The Rebels fell to 16-10 overall and 7-6 in the SEC.

Gators defeat Cats in Rupp 69-59

Florida tied a school record with their 17th straight win on Saturday, knocking off Kentucky in Rupp Arena 69-59. Casey Prather led Florida with 24 points on 8 of 9 shooting. Andrew Harrison led the cats with 20 points. Florida won at Rupp Arena for the first time since 2007. Scottie Wilbekin added 23 points for Florida as the Gators improved to 23-2 overall and 12-0 in the SEC. Kentucky fell to 19-6 overall and 9-3 in the SEC.

Kentucky knocks off Mississippi State 69-59

Julius Randle scored 16 points and James Young added 11 as Kentucky went on the road and knocked off Mississippi State on Saturday. Kentucky improved to 18-5 overall and 8-2 in the SEC. Craig Sword led State with 12 points as the Bulldogs fell to 13-10 overall and 3-7 in the SEC. Kentucky won the rebounding battle 38-33 and also scored 40 points in the paint.

Kentucky holds off Missouri

Aaron Harrison scored 21 points and James Young added 20 as Kentucky held off a rally to win in Missouri on Saturday. The Wildcats improved to 16-5 and 6-2 in the SEC with the win. Missouri fell to 16-5 and 4-4 in the SEC. Jabari Brown led all scorers with a game high 33 points in the loss. Missouri suffered only its third loss at home in the last 46 home games. Kentucky will be back at Rupp Arena on Tuesday to take on Ole Miss. Tipoff is set for 7 pm.

Cats land 5 Star lineman

Mark Stoops got his first win over Alabama today as 5 star lineman Matt Elam decided to play for the Wildcats over Alabama and Nick Saban. Elam, a 6'5, 370 pound lineman is rated the nation's number 3 defensive tackle by 24/7 Sports. Elam was a standout at John Hardin High School in 2013 and picked Kentucky over such schools as Alabama, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Tennessee. Kentucky is also expected to release plans to build a 45 million dollar practice facility in the near future.

Cats fall at LSU 87-82

James Young led Kentucky with 23 points, but it wasn't enough as LSU knocked off Kentucky on Tuesday night 87-82., Johnny O'Bryant led LSU with a game high 29 points. LSU improved to 13-6 and 4-3 in the SEC while Kentucky dropped to 15-5 and 5-2 in the SEC. Dakari Johnson had 15 points in the loss for Kentucky.
