Gator Hazelett

Johnson Central

May 26, 2014

Gator is the son of Kevin and Kristi Hazelett. Some of his awards and honors include winning the Hugh OBrian Youth Leadership Award and being named a Governor's Scholar at Johnson Central. Gator participates in several clubs at JCHS including HOSA, Key Club, and Student Council. He plans to attend the University of Kentucky and become a pharmacist.
 

Bethany Sparkman

Knott County Central High

May 19, 2014

Bethany is the 17 year old daughter of Brooke and Rusty Sparkman. She maintains a 4.1 GPA as a senior at Knott County Central High School. Bethany, is a member of the National Beta Club and president of the Knott County FFA chapter. She has received recognition as an All-American Scholar and is also Co-Captain of the Knott County Central volleyball team. Congratulations to this week's student achiever, Bethany Sparkman of Knott County Central High School.

Stacie Gooch

Pikeville High School

May 12, 2014

Stacie is the daughter of Mark and Pat Gooch. She is a senior at Pikeville High School. Stacie has a 4.0 GPA and is ranked in the top ten of her senior class. She is an AP scholar with honors and has a 31 ACT composite score. Stacie is a member of the softball and golf teams at Pikeville as well as a member of the Student Council and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She plans to attend the University of Kentucky upon completion of high school. Congratulations to Stacie Gooch, this week's Q95 FM Student Achiever.

Ty Hensley

Belfry High School

May 5, 2014

Mr. Hensley is the son of Larry Hensley and Brandy Dotson. His achievements include a 4.0 GPA.

He is a member of the regional science olympiad team, and placed first in chemistry lab, first place in technical problem solving, and third place in the robot arm competition.

He is a member of the National Honor Society, the Art Honor Society, and Mu Alpha Theta.

His athletic achievements include playing on the state runner-up football team. His hobbies include fishing, hunting, drag racing, restoring antique vehicles, boating, and drawing.

His future plans are to attend medical school and become a radiologist.

Matthew Nathaniel Ray Toler

Sheldon Clark High School

April 28, 2014

Matthew is the 17-year-old son of Angela and Thomas Toler and is a senior at Sheldon Clark High School, where he maintains a 4.1 GPA. Matthew's achievements include a 4.0 or greater GPA all years of high school; he has been elected president of Social Studies Club; he is ranked #1 in his class; and participated in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes for four years. He also participated in Sheldon Clark's very first participation in the Kentucky Youth Assembly. He has been accepted to attend Alice Lloyd College.

Keegan Wade Sammons

Knott County Central High School

April 21, 2014

This weeks student achiever is from Knott County Central Mr. Keegan Wade Sammons. Keegan is the son of Tanya Pratt Hale and Jody Sammons. He is a senior at Knott County High where he maintains a 4.4 GPA. Keegan was a 2014 Governors Scholar and a 4.0 Honor Roll member every year of school. He is a member of the National Society of High School Scholars. Keegan also attended the 2012 HYPE leadership sportsmanship conference. Keegan is a member of the BETA Club and Talented and Gifted Program and also placed 2nd overall in the region in FBLA for sports mamangement. Congratulations to this weeks student achiever from Knott County Central High School Mr. Keegan Wade Sammons.

Haley Williamson

Pikeville High School

April 7, 2014

This week's student achiever is from Pikeville High School. Haley Williamson is a Freshman at Pikeville. She earned a state champion honor as a Future City Presenter. Haley was also in the top ten of her 7th and 8th grade class. She is a reading award recipient and a new member of FBLA. Her hobbies and interests include : Drawing houses, creative writing and music. Her future plans are to study to become an architect and to attend the University of Kentucky. Congratulations to this weeks student achiever Haley Williamson from Pikeville High School.

Ryan Crum

Pikeville High School

March 31, 2014

Ryan Crum is the son of Aaron and Angelia Crum. He was selected as a 2013 Rogers Explorers Scholar and was one of two Pike County Reps to attend. Ryan is a member of the PHS Golf team and also a member of of the FBLA and the PHS Student Council. His hobbies include Diving, Computers, trampoline and running his own business. His future plans are to attend the Unviersity of Kentucky and pursue a career in medicine. Congratulations to this weeks student achiever Ryan Crum of Pikeville High School.
