Cincinnati Sweep Washington Series After 8-2 Victory

The Cincinnati Reds completed a three game series sweep of over the Washington Nationals after winning 8-2 yesterday at the Great American Ballpark. It’s the second time this season the Reds have swept an opponent. 10 players went to the plate for the Reds at the bottom of the 7th inning, with six runs being scored. J.J. Hoover picked up his 2nd win in two days after inheriting a bases loaded jam from starting pitcher Michael Lorenzen. The Reds will have today off before playing the Philadelphia Phillies on the road tomorrow night at Citizens Bank Park. Game time is set for 7:05pm tomorrow night.
