Erik Jones Picks up 2nd Season Win in NASCAR XFINITY Series at Chicagoland

Erik Jones won in thrilling fashion, battling to the checkers with Ryan Blaney to win the Owens Corning Atticat 300, Saturday at Chicagoland Speedway. It was Jones 2nd victory of the season in Nascar’s second-tier series. Jones picked up the victory, his 11th overall, in the #54 Monster Energy Toyota for Joe Gibbs Racing. Jones is the youngest driver to win two races in the same weekend, after also winning Friday’s Camping World Truck Series American Ethanol 200 at Iowa Speedway. The driver has run in all three series this season, also competing in the Sprint Cup Series. The Nascar Sprint Cup Series will return to the track this coming weekend with the first of two road courses on the schedule as they head west to race at Sonoma Raceway in California’s Wine Country.
