Floyd County Church Supports Supreme Court Same Sex Marriage Decision

In Floyd County, a Prestonsburg Church has said they will be accepting of the Supreme Court’s decision to repeal the ban on same-sex marriages. The St. James church administers the community with a Food Pantry and a thrift shop that is open to the public two days a week. Reverend Sister Judy Yunker has been with the church for almost two years and said gay and lesbian citizens attend the church and are welcome. Yunker said the church’s doors are open to all people and they want to inspire acceptance. St. James Church have services Sunday mornings at 11am, but also said the doors are open to anyone who wants to come in an worship during the week.
