Governors debate gets personal quick

With eight days left before Election Day the leading gubernatorial candidate met for a live debate. The event was broadcast live from Eastern Kentucky University, and has been touted as the most vicious debate so far. The jabs began early with Republican Matt Bevin accusing Democrat Jack Conway of lying about cutting his offices budget, which Bevin credits to the governor. Conway pushed Bevin about his statements concerning Medicaid expansion, where Bevin said he would reverse Kentucky’s program, causing around 5-hundered thousand citizens to lose their healthcare. Conway promoted his support for the coal industry, highlighting his offices suit against the expanded EPA regulations. Bevin said that the coal industry isn’t drying; they just need to capitalize on the global demand for coal. Elections are November the 3rd.
