Bridge Deck Restoration on KY 321 Begins in Johnson County

Bridge deck restoration and waterproofing will begin on Thursday, June 8, on two bridges on KY 321 in Johnson County. There will be a wide load restriction of 10 feet for each bridge. Work on both bridges is expected to take a total of two months, 30 working days for each structure. The first bridge is over CSX railroad and KY 1428 at mile point 4.482 on KY 321. The contractor will mill out and repair one lane at a time. Traffic will be reduced to one, alternating one-way traffic with a temporary traffic signal. The wide load restriction will go into effect simultaneously with the lane closure. The second bridge is also over a CSX railroad and the Levisa Fork, Big Sandy River, at mile point 3.644. This will also be reduced to one lane with a wide load restriction.
