Perry County Man Steals Over $15K in Tobacco Products

On Tuesday, September 19, around 8am, the Perry County Sheriff Department received a call of a burglary at the Pigeon Roost Tobacco Store in Pigeon Roost. Deputies responded to the scene to discovery someone had broken into the store and stole $15,000 in tobacco products. Security video was reviewed, identifying the suspect as Charles Griffith. Following an investigation, deputies found Griffith at 18 Beverly Hill in Gays Creek with the stolen tobacco products. He was arrested for unlawful taking over $10,000 and criminal mischief and lodged in the Kentucky River Regional Jail. The products were recovered and returned back to the owner.
