Arrest Made in Stolen ATV in Knox County

On Wednesday, October 25, 2017, Knox County Deputy John Luttrell responded to a complaint of two runaway juveniles that had taken a 2014 Honda ATV. During the investigation , information indicated the ATV was at a residence on King Town Hill Road in the Popular Creek area. The property owner denied having information about the juveniles or ATV. Information was developed on the location of the juveniles in Harlan County, who were returned to Knox County. Deputies later returned to the King Town Hill Road residence and re-contacted the property owner. The ATV was observed in a wooded area, covered with tree limbs. Elden Jay North, 36, of Barbourville, was charged with receiving stolen property and lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
