Senator Rand Paul Injured in Home Assault

On Friday, November 3, 2017, at 3:21pm, Kentucky State Police Troopers responded to the residence of U.S. Senator Rand Paul in Warren County, in reference to a report of an assault. Upon arrival, it determined that Rene Boucher had intentionally assaulted Paul, causing minor injury. Boucher, 59, was arrested and charged with assault. The senator reported suffered multiple broken ribs from the attack. No motive has been released and Boucher was lodged in the Warren County Detention Center.
