Update: Missing Magoffin County Child Found Alive

Update: A missing Magoffin County child has been found. Just before 2pm Wednesday, May 15, 2019, 22-month-old Kenneth Howard, who went missing on Sunday, May 12, 2019, was found alive in the area of a strip mine in Floyd County on the border of Magoffin County. Howard recovered not far from his home, according to a Magoffin County Emergency Management official. According to Kentucky State Police, the case is still under investigation to determine how the child ended up on the cliff.

Update: The search for a missing child in Magoffin County has been suspended by emergency crews. Search and rescue crews and emergency personnel have suspended the search for missing 22-month-old Kenneth Howard. Officials say the property is too treacherous at this time to continue searching safely and will not be returning until new information is received. Kenneth Howard was last seen in the Kenneth Combs Branch area near the Floyd County line. He has blonde hair, blue eyes, and is estimated to be around 3-feet-tall, and was last seen wearing red jogging pants, sandals, and a gray Avengers t-shirt.
