A Kentucky State Police Trooper in Morehead was assaulted on Wednesday, May 22, 2019. Troopers Nathan Roark and Tyler Smith with Post *, along with Bath County Sheriff Jesse Stewart, attempted to serve an arrest warrant on Bradley Harris, 42, of Owingsville, on Moores Ferry Road in Salt Lick. Troopers made contact with Harris’s spouse, who advised that he had left the residence. After receiving consent to search the residence, Bradley Harris was found barricaded inside a closet. After refusing commands to exit, Trooper Smith entered the closet to remove the subject, and was stabbed in the leg. Harris was removed and taken into custody. Trooper Smith received treatment at St. Claire Hospital and was released.
