UPIKE Partners with Regional Institutes to Create Educational Pathways

The University of Pikeville has partnered with numerous educational institutions in Kentucky and Virginia to create pathways to UPIKE’s Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine, Kentucky College of Optometry and Coleman College of Business Master of Business Administration program. This spring, the University signed memorandums of agreement with Appalachian College of Pharmacy, Big Sandy Community and Technical College, Emory & Henry College, Hollins University, Southwest Virginia Community College and Union College. These agreements will allow completion of degrees simultaneously between schools, and potential entry into the Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine and Optometry for qualified graduates. Provost Dr. Lori Werth said developing partnerships is critical to meeting the needs of students in the evolving landscape of higher education.
