Grand opening of a new trail system yesterday!

This project is two and a half years in the making. A couple years ago, Perry county received a $100,000 recreational trail grant to create the trails.
Ben Braman with Pathfinders is the mind behind the trail system.
But he has not done it alone! Many hours were put in by the community.
Well over 3,000 volunteer hours have gone into the trail system and more than 90 percent of those hours were completed by local kids.
The trails are located right behind the Perry County pool.
There are about seven miles of trails that range in difficulty and length.

They are hoping this trail system will promote county growth and help get Perry county the exposure it needs.
