James “Red” Clay

James “Red” Clay, 87 of Dwale, KY, passed away August 19, 2019 at Highlands ARH. Born January 6, 1932 in Lawrence Co. KY, he was the son of the late Odd & Alice Clifton Clay. James was preceded in death by his wife, Mable Shepherd Clay. He was a construction worker and a member of Trimble Chapel Church, Prestonsburg, KY. James is survived by one son: James Clay of Prestonsburg, KY; daughters: Regina Wakeland of Harold, KY and Ella Mae Clay of Dwale, KY; sisters: Vernie Clay, Ruby Clay and Phyllis Clay all of Dwale, KY; 6 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by one son: Gary Clay; three brothers: Tom Clay, Charles Clay & Vernon Clay and one sister: Ruth Blanton. James will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

Time and Place of Services: Thursday (August 22, 2019) 11am Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, Martin, KY

Visitation: after 6pm Tuesday (August 20, 2019) and all day Wednesday (August 21, 2019) at the funeral home
