Police responded to a home on Auburn Avenue to check on the welfare of a resident Sunday, September 15. They say they found the resident, Phil Marzetti, 65, dead. Officers say they found evidence of foul play.

George Michael Slone, 49, of Ashland, was arrested last week in Lexington on warrants out of Boyd County. According to information from the Fayette County Jail, Slone was arrested by University of Kentucky Police.Investigators say Slone also lived in the home.

According to information from the Fayette County Jail, Slone faces a murder charge, as well as third-degree criminal trespassing. His bond is $250,000.
