One person was hospitalized Thursday afternoon after a crash.

The crash happened on U.S. 23 in the Allen community of Floyd County.

First responders said the vehicle hydroplaned, hit the mountainside and flipped into a ditch.

Only one person was inside the vehicle. She was taken to Highlands Regional. Her exact condition is unknown but does not seem to be life-threatening.

First responders tell us it is common to see crashes in this location.
