James “Jake” Castle, age 81, of Sitka, KY died Monday February 1, 2021. He was born June 11, 1939 to the late Elijah and Lucy Fraley Castle. Jake was a retired coal miner with Old McDonald’s Mining. On January 19, 1962 in Paintsville, KY, he married Faye Castle who precedes him in death (9-16-17). He is survived by two sons, Billy (Linda) Castle of Quinton, VA and Edgar (Tabby) Castle of Sitka, KY; three daughters, Patricia Castle of West Van Lear, KY, Remonia Mills of West Liberty, KY, and Martha (Robert) Fitzpatrick of Van Lear, KY; one brother, Charles Castle of East Point, KY, 10 grand children, and 4 great grand children. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday February 3, 2021 from 6 P.M. until 9 P.M. and on Thursday February 4 from 6 P.M. until 9 P.M. at the Preston Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 12 P.M. Friday, February 5, 2021 in the Preston Funeral Home Chapel with Hubert Slone officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeview Memorial Cemetery at Staffordsville, KY.
