Freda Gaye Owens, age 67 of Melvin, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, Kentucky. She was born September 10, 1953 in Floyd County, Kentucky to the late Fred & Lizie Elswick Johnson. She was the wife of Dewey Owens. She was a homemaker, member of Wheelwright United Methodist Church & Eastern Star Member Chapter 477.  She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

Visitation will begin Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at 6pm at the funeral home and will continue all day Wednesday, February 10, 2021

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 11, 2021 at 1pm at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky

Burial will follow at Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, Kentucky
