Police Chase Stretches Across 3 Counties

A suspect is in custody after a chase that stretched through 3 Kentucky counties and shut down Interstate 64 on Wednesday.

The chase began earlier on Wednesday when Kentucky State Police attempted to pull over a vehicle in Woodford county due to registration issues.

The vehicle did stop but took off when the officer approached the vehicle, striking the officer but not causing any serious injuries.

The officer chased the suspect through Franklin County and then Shelby County before the suspect gave up. No shots were fired and stop sticks were not needed.

The suspect’s identity has not been yet released.

The suspect tossed evidence out of their vehicle window as the pursuit took place, it is unknown what evidence the Kentucky State Police were able to recover.
