The driver, who was involved in a head-on collision on LaGrange Road and North Hurstbourne Parkway, that killed one man and injured two others, has been charged.

 

27-year-old Joseph Saimi was charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol in connection to that crash, which took place on November 27th.

 

Saimi was not injured. Three passengers in the vehicle struck by Saimi were transported to the hospital for treatment. Two of the three were expected to survive. 20-year-old Chase Lawson, of Crestwood, later died at the hospital as a result of his injuries.

 

An arrest report from the crash confirmed that Saimi told officers he had three alcoholic beverages earlier in the night. According to police, he was slurring his speech and had bloodshot eyes.
