A West Virginia man, who is wanted on warrants in multiple states, was arrested Thursday following a chase with officers through downtown Louisa.

53-year-old Ronald L. Adkins, of Huntington, was wanted on several Tennessee and West Virginia warrants.

Adkins is said to have led officers, deputies, and marshals from Louisa Police Department, Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department, and the US Marshal’s Service Southern West Virginia Fugitive Task Force on a chase through downtown Louisa, which ended on US 23 in the Ulysses area.

Officers managed to deploy spike strips and then proceeded to box Adkins in.

Adkins was arrested and charged with wanton endangerment, fleeing or evading police, and several other charges. He is currently being held in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.
