In Johnson County, Kentucky Thursday evening, the body of a child was recovered according to the Johnson County Sheriff.

The sheriff reported the 12-year-old’s body was discovered in Johnson County, in the Van Lear area.

Sheriff’s office officials said circumstances surrounding the 12-year-old’s death are still under investigation.
