Boyle County Man Charged with Child Sexual Exploitation Offenses.

Kentucky State Police announced on Facebook that a Boyle County Man has been charged with Child Sexual Exploitation Offenses.

The Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch located and arrested 37 year old Michael D. Rhodus on charges related to a child sexual abuse material investigation.

As the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) investigation, Rhodus was interviewed and arrested. The Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch started the investigation after discovering Rhodus had been distributing sexually explicit images online.

The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant on August 10, on Pope Road in Danville. Equipment that Rhodus allegedly used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to KSP’s forensic laboratory for examination. The investigation is still ongoing.

Rhodus is currently charged with 10 counts of distribution of matter portraying a minor under the age of 12 in a sexual performance, and 10 counts of possessing matter portraying a minor under the age of 12 in a sexual performance.
