18 Students And A Driver Said To Be On-Board During Magoffin County School Bus Crash

UPDATE: Magoffin County Schools have released new information regarding this morning’s incident via the Magoffin County Schools Facebook Page;

“The Magoffin County School District confirms that there was a bus accident on Route 40 near Salyersville this morning. Based on the preliminary investigation, Bus 2030 was carrying 18 students plus the driver. As of the time of this statement, there are no reported fatalities, but the students and driver have varying degrees of injuries. They have been transported by ambulance or helicopter to regional hospitals. The district would like to thank everyone that extended a helping hand at the scene of the accident. Please keep all families in your thoughts and prayers.”

 

UPDATE:

Three students are said to have been airlifted from the scene of the crash. All other students who were involved are being transported to area hospitals.

The extent of the injuries are currently unknown. The state highway has been shut down.

 

ORIGINAL REPORT:

A bus with the Magoffin County Schools System is said to have crashed on RT 40, near Mine Fork Road.

Students are said to have been onboard at the time of the crash.

One helicopter is at the scene, with others sad to be on the way.

There is currently no word as to how many students were on board.
