Astor Ray “Dickie” Crider, age 79 of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at Highlands ARH Regional Medical Center, Prestonsburg, Kentucky. He was born August 15, 1943 in Floyd County, Kentucky to the late Johnnie & Irene McCoy Crider. He was the husband of Brenda Shores Crider. He was a retired manager of Crider’s Grocery and a member of Church of Christ Church, Prestonsburg, Kentucky. Along with his wife he is survived by his Son: Verlin Ray Crider of Prestonsburg, Kentucky; Special Nephew: Brian Blackburn; Brother & Sister: Jimmie Crider of West Virginia & Sydney Presilac of Florida. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his Brothers & Sister: John Crider Jr., Joe Crider, Bill Crider, Palmer Crider, Johnnie Crider Jr. & Peggy King. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

Visitation will begin Monday, February 27, 2023 from 6pm-9pm at the funeral home

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at 12 noon at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky with Shawn Slone officiating

Burial will follow at Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, Kentucky
