Karen Lynn Banks, age 59 of Van Lear, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at Highlands ARH in Prestonsburg, Kentucky. Born December 13, 1962 in Johnson County, Kentucky to the late Otis Lafferty and Rosetta Crum Lafferty. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Ray Lafferty; one brother-in-law, William May; and one sister-in-law, Marlene Lafferty.

Funeral services will be held 1:00pm Saturday, June 4, 2022 in the chapel of the Phelps & Son Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Lafferty Family Cemetery at Sycamore. Roger Hill and Paul Wayne Browning will officiate. Friends may visit at the Phelps & Son Funeral Home on Friday from 1:00-9:00pm and on Saturday after 9:00am until time of services at 1:00pm. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Phelps & Son Funeral Home.
