Over the weekend a man in London crashed a semi truck into the back of a state police cruiser twice and then left the scene. Trooper Donnie Foley was at a stop light on KY 192 at the intersection of KY 363 just before midnight on Friday night when the semi first ran into the back of his marked cruiser. Afterwards, the driver of the truck struck the cruiser a second time and Trooper Foley was injured while the cruiser received severe damage. The driver then took off, turning right on KY 363 and proceeding towards London. More police units responded to the scene of the incident and while they searched the area, the semi was not located. Trooper Foley was taken to Saint Joseph Hospital in London to be treated for his injuries and was then released. The truck was said to be dark in color and did not have a trailer behind it. The front end of the semi would likely have damage. Anyone with information is asked to call Kentucky State Police at 606-878-6622.
