Police in Jackson have arrested two men in connection with a gas station robbery that took place early Sunday morning. The Shell Mart on KY 15 North reported a robbery around 3:30am and the clerk first told police he was taking out trash when three men jumped him and then robbed the store. However, police determined during the investigation that the safe had been opened without using force and the combination was used. 21 year old William Combs, then admitted he and two others had committed the robbery. 20 year old Trevor Hays, who was also employed by the store, was picked up with a juvenile with backpacks containing merchandise and cash from the store. Hays was off duty at the time of the robbery. Hays and Combs were arrested and then charged with Robbery 1st. The juvenile was taken to the juvenile detention center.
