In Western Kentucky, a Kentucky State Trooper was killed in a car accident in Marshall County. Trooper Eric K. Chrisman was driving his cruiser on US 62 to respond to a reckless driving complaint when his cruiser hydroplaned and went into the path of an oncoming tractor trailer. The crash took place yesterday just before 6pm. Chrisman was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The truck driver was transported to Marshall County Hospital and later released. Kentucky State Police say both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.
