The Cincinnati Reds are liking it more and more when Gerrit Cole is on the mound for the Pittsburgh Pirates. They won for the third straight time against the Pirates pitcher this season, 5-2 last night at PNC Park in Pittsburgh. Marlon Byrd knocked a two-run homer in the first inning and Mike Leake kept the Bucs to two runs and eight hits in his seven innings on the mound. It was his seventh consecutive win against Pittsburgh. The Pirates are 11-1 when Cole starts against any other team, but Cincinnati seem to have his number. Tonight, A.J. Burnett will start for Pittsburgh while Tony DeScalfani will get the ball for the Reds. Tonight’s game gets underway at 7:05pm at PNC Park.
