Some of the Commonwealth’s finest are in action across the Country.

16 Kentucky firefighters have been sent to aid in controlling the wildfires in Washington, California and North Carolina. The Kentucky division of forestry supplied 14 of the 20 man crew traveling to North Carolina, while the other two were dispatched West.

Since the Commonwealth’s fall fire season begins on October 1^st, this could be the last aid that Kentucky is able to send to other States.
