The versatile 6-foot-10 big man had a very strong AAU travel/showcase season, which included impressive performances at the NBPA Top 100 Camp in Charlottesville, Va. and at the Adidas Summer Championships, where he leaded Team Virginia to the tournament title in Las Vegas.

His play in the spring and summer fueled Killeya-Jones’ rise in the rankings, from a fringe top-50 prospect to No. 18 overall in the 247Sports rankings.

A one-time Virginia commit, Killeya-Jones, decommitted from the Cavaliers in early June and 10 days later, took an unofficial visit to Kentucky, where he scored a scholarship offer from coach John Calipari.
