Several law enforcement agencies came together in Detroit yesterday to tackle the continued flow of drugs into Appalachia.
The meeting included representatives of the Bureau of Alcohol, tobacco and firearms, the internal revenue service and Federal Bureau of Investigation.
The purpose of the summit was to discuss a regional strategy to ebb the flow of pills and opiates from Michigan and Ohio into the region.
The plan will include cooperation across the multi-state area, in stemming what the officials are labeling a sophisticated delivery network.
