Floyd County is embarking on a new endeavor which may extend sewage services to its eastern communities. The 1.3 million dollar project will offer services to the Betsy Layne community.  The projects would include input from Big Sandy A.D.D., Southern Water and sewer, and the Floyd County Fiscal Court. Southern Water projects that the program will offer service to an additional 15-hundred individuals along route 23, include the construction of a waste treatment plant and a pressure sewage collection system.
