The third ranked Eagles turn their attention to Lexington Catholic out of Class 3A.

Head Coach Jim Matney said that Lex Cath is a much tougher task for his young team, specifically for his youthful offensive line. However, he believes playing teams like Lex Cath will only help prepare his team come district time and for the post season.

“We really didn’t know what to expect opening night. I think our kids played pretty well. We made a lot of mistakes. I wouldn’t say we’re a good football team right now. I think we’re an average team right now. I think we have the potential to be a very, very good football team, after our kids get a little bit of experience, especially the kids on the offensive line.” Said Coach Matney.
