History came alive yesterday on the streets of Prestonsburg

History came alive yesterday on the streets of Prestonsburg. Several re-enactors from a local organization called the Friends of Middle Creek wondered along Arnold Avenue in costume as a way to promote the upcoming Battle of Middle Creek re-enactment. The crew of living historians included several ladies in full regalia, men in army uniforms, and a man portraying Confederate General John Hunt Morgan who rode his horse up and down the street. The Middle Creek re-enactment will be held on September 11-13th at the Middle Creek National Battlefield.
