Magoffin County and Betsy Layne coaches talk

“I think we are fairly even, evenly matched. Both clubs lost a lot off of last year’s team. Young and inexperienced so I do see a mirror like image of each other.” Said Magoffin County Head Coach Scotty McCoy.

For the Bobcats, less than five percent of their offense returns off last season’s squad.

For the Hornets, they lost their dual-threat quarterback who posted more than 1400 passing yards and rushed for more than 1100 yards and a combined 29 touchdowns.

“What I see on his film is similar to what we see. A lot of young guys trying to fill a role that some are ready for and some are not. The key for us and them is see who’s going to get older quicker in the game, see who’s going to get that big ‘W’.” Said Betsy Layne Head Coach Jonathan Parsons.
