Kim Davis returned to office today and took one final opportunity to speak to the press.

A controversial figure returned to office today and took one final opportunity to speak to the press.

Rowan County Clerk, Kim Davis, has been absent from work for nearly a week after her incarceration prior to today. Davis has capitulated to “Judge Banning’s Order” which allows her to remain out of prison as long as she does not interfere with the distribution of marriage licenses in Rowan County. According to Davis her office will issue licenses, but she still refuses to have her name on them. According to Davis, all will have the phrase, “pursuant to order of the court” on them.

Davis has doubts of the legitimacy of documents issued while she was incarcerated. The governor’s office has issued a statement assuring the individuals that their paperwork is legitimate in the eyes of the state and the federal government.
