This Thursday will kick off the annual Black Gold festival in Perry County

A local festival may have a different feel this year. This Thursday will kick off the annual Black Gold festival in Perry County, but this year will have a charitable undertone. With only a few days separating the festivities from a fire that left 70 people homeless, festival chairman Terry Feltner says that they want to do something positive. During all of the festivities, donations will be accepted. Planners are expecting a large turnout, and have billed a large lineup of music, which will include a Michael Jackson tribute on Thursday. According to Feltner, this year is expected to be something special.
