According to officials Pike County is out of money. The Pike County Fiscal Court has approved a 1.5 million dollar short term loan, to keep the county running. According to county secretary Johnda Billiter the county has around 1 million dollars in the bank. The court is facing a payroll next week of around 400 thousand dollars, and a bill is looming for health and life insurance. The court hopes that a recently passed tax will ease their financial woes.
