A local scholar has been elected to a prestigious academic position. Mark Wells is a professor of business at Big Sandy Community and Technical College, and he has been selected as an “Occupational/Technical Faculty Representative” to the Kentucky Community and Technical College System Board of Regents. Wells was elected by his colleagues across KCTCS. He will begin his three-year term in October. Wells has worked at BSCTC for 19 years, served on several board and councils, and serves as co-adviser for BSCTC’s Phi Theta Kappa chapter.
