A controversial state official could be looking at more legal action. Rowan County Clerk, Kim Davis, who was recently jailed for refusing to issue marriage licenses, has been sued again for tampering with the writing on the forms. Several couples who have received their licenses, are worried about their validity, and are asking judge circuit David Bunning to have them re-issued. Currently they do not have the clerks name on them, but instead say they were issued under the authority of the court. State officials have ensured their legitimacy, but Davis and her legal counsel have denied it on multiple occasions. Reports from the clerks in the Rowan County office have shown that everyone eligible under law has received a license; the one exception was a man who said he wanted to marry Jesus. He was denied since both parties were not present.
